I occasionally invest in adventures with a big social impact potential.

ACHIEVEMENT/ What is your project, initiative, start-up, company all about?

La Ruche focuses on the progress of social innovation at all levels of society. Convinced that economy and human development are compatible it wants to promote innovation as an answer to society’s challenges. It encourages those who create businesses in a different way and bring a meaning to their actions.
Its vision is determinedly focused on people and their capacity to bring about strong changes around them and particularly thanks to social entrepreneurship, creativity and innovation.

To do so La Ruche leans on places where it puts a social entrepreneurship community up. Fight against exclusion, create and secure sustainable jobs, give responsibilities to finance, help civil society to mobilize, protect our environment… the challenges that we face are big but the values are global.

LOCATION/ In which city, country, part of the world do you conduct your activities?

Paris, Montreuil, Bordeaux, Marseille.

IMPACT/ What is the positive economic, social, political, environmental…of your activity, project, initiative, start-up, company?

There are so many intern and extern impacts that are not easy to quantify. La Ruche Paris has been the first co-working open space in France and remains the single space exclusively dedicated to promotion and support of social innovation.
The participative spirit of co-construction and mutual assistance has affected more than social business only. A very large number of working spaces get inspired of our participative spirit philosophy open source. More than 300 firms had worked with La Ruche and 85% are still in activity. Dozens of jobs have been created. We offer our knowhow to a lot of projects developed abroad.
