BACKGROUND / Professional and educational background
Denis Machuel holds a degree from the ENSIMAG engineering school in Grenoble (France) and a Masters of Science from the Texas A&M University (USA).
Denis started his career with Schneider Electric in Egypt, before working with Altran for 16 years. He then joined Sodexo’s Rewards and Benefits department in 2007, of which he was named Executive Director in 2012. He joined the Group’s Executive Committee in January 2014. In January 2015, he became Digital Director of the Group, a position meant to drive Sodexo’s digital transformation. In June, 2017, Sodexo announced that Denis will follow Michel Landel as the Group’s CEO in 2018.
Denis is a fierce promoter of diversity and inclusion in all aspects. Meditating regularly, Denis has initiated his Executive Committee to full conscience meditation and mindfulness sessions offered to all rewards and benefits teams – Denis is indeed convinced that this practice contributes to anyone’s fulfilment and quality of life.

Created in 1966 in Marseille by Pierre Bellon, Sodexo is world leader in Life Quality services, an essential factor in individuals’ and organizations’ performance. Sodexo serves 75 million consumers everyday across the world through Services on Site, Benefits and Rewards Services, Retail Services, and At-home Services.
