Francesco Ubertini

BACKGROUND / Academic and professional background

Francesco Ubertini graduated in Civil Engineering at Alma Mater, University of Bologna with full marks. At the same University he obtained first a PhD in Mechanics of Structures, then got a position as assistant professor at the School of Engineering. In 2001 he became associate professor and in 2007 full professor in Construction Sciences.

From 2007 to 2010 he was Head of the Department of Structural Engineering, Transport, Public Works, and Surveying of the Territory. From 2010 to 2015 he was Head of the Department of Civil, Chemical, Environmental and Materials Engineering (DICAM) and a member of the Academic Senate of the University of Bologna,

Since 1th November 2015 he is Rector of University of Bologna
