BACKGROUND / Academic and professional background
Jean-Gérard Bloch is Doctor in Medicine, specialist in rheumatology in Strasbourg. He has a DEA in neuroimmunopharmacology. He has been trained to the MBSR program by the curriculum of the CFM-UMass Medical School of Jon Kabat Zinn. He takes part in the movement of applied research in Mindfulness, with the ADM – ‘Association pour le développement de la mindfulness’, of which he is Vice-president and he has been trained to meditation for more than 12 years.
He also obtained the diploma of Semrig Thablam Mawa – STM – in the ’Internal science of the spirit and the UD phenomen’ and its applications in accordance with the tibetan approach of Philosophy and Psychology ‘Unity in Duality’.
He proposed formations in the Institut Français Pleine Conscience-Mindfulness (www.ifpcm.fr).
He is the founder and teaching director since 2012 of the ‘Diplôme d’Université de Médecine, Méditation et Neurosciences’ of the Medicine Faculty of the Strasbourg University.
