BACKGROUND/ Academic and professional background
Graduate of Ecole Polytechnique, ENSEA and Sciences Po Paris with a double-specialization in Applied Mathematics for Economics and Business Management, Julien has started his career as researcher and Economics professor before doing audit missions for the Head of Société Générale.
He has a solid experience in the digital and new technologies’ sector since he was Partner-Manager in a development agency he has co-founded. Among his main missions, project management, solutions development and data architecture as well as business development were his specialities.
Later on, in order to bring custom-made data solutions for companies and to help them along with their digital transition and data integration process’, he has co-founded Jalgos. Besides, he has also created Data4Change in partnership with Socialter.
ACHIEVEMENT/ What is your project, initiative, start-up, company all about?
Founded by two data scientists, Jalgos is a specialised agency in custom-made algorithms’ conception. Besides their skills in machine learning and artificial intelligence process, they take active part of several data engineers and computer scientits’ networks in order to give to their clients the most efficient big data technologies. Their operating areas are broad: health, marketing, finance, risk management, etc.
Data4Chante is an intiative that aims to promote positive applications that include big data.

IMPACT/ What is the positive economic, social, political, environmental… of your activity, project, initiative, start-up, company?
Datas are valuable ressources that could carry solutions to many of current and universal issues. By promoting a healthy use of datas, we aim to build concrete solutions to these issues and to develop algorithms able to forecast and prevent epidemics, to optimize assistance organization or to help medical resaearch.
