Founder & General Director, RAID GREEN
After spending 10 years in marketing and communications in global sporting events (Olympic Games, World Cup Soccer, Roland Garros …), Karine became a journalist in 1998 and then executive producer within a Production Company (Canal Plus, France 3, TV5 Monde, …).
Along with her career, since the age of 14, she is very much committed in environmental, international solidarity and social associations.
In 2008, the need to link her professional activity and personal beliefs is stronger, Karine creates GREEN PRODUCTION and carries out many assignments in the field of communication management, films and events production (Planète Urgence Défistival, Nicolas Hulot Foundation ACCOR group, …).
In 2010, she produced the first politics web series in France: Les Yeux dans les Verts (www.lesyeuxdanslesverts.com). It shows from the inside the tipping point of political ecology in the wake of European elections of 2009.
In 2011, she began producing her project GREEN RAID. In order to show that it is now possible to have a sustainable and happy urban life by bringing together practical, useful and original addresses on a same digital platform (bus, bike sharing, AMAP, worn clothing stores, home gardens, shoemakers , ressourceries, community BBQ, nap spots, local artists, …) and to show that local and alternative economy is an engine for local development. Since the beginning, she has benefited from the support of ADEME. Then she took the direction of Nantes, elected European Green Capital 2013. GREEN RAID will be certified and supported by Nantes Métropole and selected for the first call for tender of the Open Data General Council of Loire-Atlantique. The application and website were launched in July 2013 in Nantes before being implemented in other French and international cities.
