Executive Director, New Cities Foundation
BACKGROUND/ Academic and professional background
As Executive Director, I oversee the New Cities Foundation‘s strategy and its day-to-day operations. Previously, I worked for the World Bank in the area of governance as well as a political officer for the UN Department of Peacekeeping Operations, serving in Afghanistan and the Middle East. I am French and American and a graduate of Harvard and LSE.
ACHIEVEMENT/ What is your project, initiative, start-up, company all about?
The New Cities Foundation’s mission is to shape a better urban future for all by generating and scaling ideas and solutions through events, research and urban innovation projects.
LOCATION/ In which city, country, part of the world do you conduct your activities?
We are truly global. On any day we work with cities in California and in Asia, in Europe and in the Middle East. The Foundation has its headquarter in Paris with small offices in Zurich and New York.
IMPACT/ What is the positive economic, social, political, environmental…of your activity, project, initiative, start-up, company?
The New Cities Foundation’s vision is a world where cities drive economic, social and environmental changes. In all our activities, we work with leaders from business, government, academia, civil society, the media and the arts towards positive change in cities. This can range from supporting young urban innovators, to launching research projects in areas such as municipal investment or mobility.
