ACHIEVEMENT/ What is your project, initiative, start-up, company all about?

ModaFusion main mission is to identify, train and promote gifted people from disadvantaged neighbourhoods. With the fashion school Casa Garaçao Vidigal which is free for the youth of the community, ModaFusion give them the opportunity to enter easily the fashion market as young creators and facilitate their social integration.

Our short-term goal is to be self-funded thanks to for-profit activities (marketing of the clothing lines created in the Casa Geraçao). The mid-term objective is to manage profits and the long-term goal is to replicate the economic model and the methodology by setting up other Casa Geraçao in other Rio favelas, other Brazil’s cities and other areas in the world.

The activities are located in Brazil in the outskirts of big cities, mainly in Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo.

IMPACT/ What is the positive economic, social, political, environmental…of the activity, project, initiative, start-up, company?

The Casa Geração is a fashion school located in Rio favela, free for the youth of the disadvantaged community.
This incubator of young artists, open to everyone, enables the artists to interact, which is necessary for the new more creative Brazilian generation. The training center that operates as a creation laboratory offer opportunity to the ones that want to to find optimistic solutions for a better and fairer life.
How promote this creativity on a day-to-day basis to make personal and professional dreams come true ? How catalyze this creative energy to create a sustainable economic model that face individual and collective needs ?
How prove that creativity is the essential energy and the economic vector of the future ?

– Economic impact : financial independence
A professional training which is specific and adapted to the life-style and education level enables to acquire the necessary skills to enter the labour market and create your own business, even in the artistic area.

– Social impact : dignity, self-confidence and oneself respect
An educational methodology which catalyzes energy in order to awake everybody’s creativity to develop the needed qualities to be more aware of his rights and respect his duties.

– Environmental impact : the Upcycling method
New creative ideas to personalize oneself’s style by consuming more intelligently and giving a second life to clothes.The upcycling method “destroy, build and transform” clothes.
