ACHIEVEMENT/ What is the project/initiative/startup/company you will be presenting at the Positive Economy Forum all about ?

Mazi Mas is an innovative roaming restaurant that serves global home cooking, and supports long-term unemployed migrant and refugee women to gain paid employment, launch careers in the culinary industry, and become full and equal participants in society.

LOCATION / In which city, country, part of the world do you conduct your activities ?

London, UK; Sydney and Melbourne, Australia.

IMPACT / What is the positive economic, social, political, environmental…of the activity, project, initiative, startup, company ?

We work with long-term unemployed women who possess excellent culinary skills but lack opportunities to leverage these skills into sustainable livelihoods. Mazi Mas provides this opportunity, by giving women a public platform to showcase their creative ability, earn their own money, access professional networks, and share their stories. In doing so we help women feel valued and develop the confidence to pursue their ambitions.
