ACHIEVEMENT/ What is the project/initiative/startup/company you will be presenting at the Positive Economy Forum all about ?

As environmental and human rights campaigner I am campaigning against transnational oil companies’ environmental racism, corporate capture and impunity, and the need for them to accept responsibility and liability for their ecological crimes arising from the impact of oil and gas operations in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. My recent successful campaign is pressuring the Nigerian government and Shell to accept responsibility of the on-going implementation of the UNEP report recommendations and clean up of Ogoni polluted environment

I focus on the concept of decarbonisation and energy transition models from fossil fuel dependency to renewable sources of energy. The framework for achieving this is vital to promote energy access for the poor especially in Africa.

LOCATION / In which city, country, part of the world do you conduct your activities ?

Nigeria’s rural communities.

IMPACT / What is the positive economic, social, political, environmental…of the activity, project, initiative, startup, company ?

The framework for energy transition provides alternative model of development and in line with the Africa Renewable Energy Initiative.
